Course Description:
Confidence, body language, and motion control are all necessary skills for any intermediate public speaker. In Public Speaking and Oral Interpretation I, students will be given the opportunity to finely hone these skills through repeated practices of extemporaneous and impromptu speaking. Students will also learn about different speaking styles in terms of a persons’ setting (professional speech, newsroom speech, political speech, etc). By the end of this course, students should have the ability to speak confidently on an array of political issues, all while maintaining good body language and motion control.
